About and sources

Unofficial study site

We are not the official exam authority. This site is an independent study aid. Booking, fees, rules and results come only from the official body.

The explanations were written with the help of AI and may contain errors. Always check the official source before you rely on an answer.

AI helped write the explanations and the self-written practice questions. AI makes mistakes. If an explanation conflicts with the official source or the official answer key, the official source wins.

Where the answer key comes from

The four options and the correct answer for every question were read from the official BAMF online test (oet.bamf.de), which uses the same catalog as the PDF. The catalog has 300 national questions and 10 questions for each of the 16 federal states. Questions that depend on an official picture are marked and are not used in the mock exam, because we do not reproduce the credited Bundestag or Bundesregierung photographs.
